On 2003-06-16, sgm50 rated this Wilson Harmonized BeCu 60 Degree Lob Wedge a 4...(1532)

Purchase: I was looking for a resonably priced lob wedge that offered hittablity and feel. Bought from RockBottomGolf.com (New equipment liquidators) Paid only $28 including shipping (struck a deal because also bought pitching and sand wedge).
Pros: I hate to admit it, but I was first struck by how this club looked. The Copper head is beautiful. Like anything, looks just don't matter. I hit this thing and fell in love. Feel, feel and more feel. The softness does pay off. Full swing yeilds 40 yards to within a few feet for me. It is a good feeling to know that. Of course, it takes balls to swing fully from that distance so don't hit it thin! As with any lob wedge, there are special times to use this guy. Ball flight is very workable, I can work a draw or go straight. I stay away from a fade. It feels as if the ball is on the face for an eternity giving spin that checks the soft landing nicely. Wilson does a great job with their wedges for us mid-handicappers. I'd be ripping myself off if I paid $100+ for a more fasionable name brand. Oh, did I mention this is a good looking club?
Cons: Nothing really. I wonder why Wilson didn't use its touted "Fat Shaft" shafts on this wedge.
Quality: High quality from what I can tell. No vibrations. The Berylium Copper sets it apart, I think.

Review Summary: Just a good wedge for a great price. I'm sure there is better out there for a lot more $, but you'd have to prove it by me. I am a 10-handicap and think I have a good grip on decent equipment. I give it a 4 because there is always room at the top and I try not to over-rate.
