On 2009-08-12, DON rated this Zero Friction Adjustable Height Performance Tees a 5...(8504)

Details: Tees come with a small disc that slides up and down on the shaft of the tee, to adjust the height.

Purchase: I got a package of 3 tees just to test and review for the rest of the members.
Pros: The shaft of the tee has a notched rib, which you use to adjust the tee height. You can adjust the height in 3/3' increments, from full length, 3-1/4' to about 1/2'. Once you find the height you like, you can repeat it every time. Very easy to adjust, even I can do it. These tees are very long lasting, if you only stick them in the ground a short distance.
Cons: I like to use 3 different tee heights, one for irons, one for fairway woods, and one for driver. For iron shots, I like to stick the tee way down into the ground, so the ball is pretty much just above the ground. And can't see doing this with one of these 3-1/4 inch adjustable tees. For one thing, the tee will break just about every time if I push it into the ground that far and hit the ball with an iron. That would be a waste of money at the price of these adjustable tees.
Quality: Quality and constructino is excellent. All the tees are well made, and so are the small discs used to set the height. The tees are made of the same indistrutable material as the other performance tees

Review Summary: IF you are one of those golfers that like tees with lines on them so you can get the tee height the same every time. YOU WILL LOVE THESE TEES. Very easy to adjust and very easy to use. You'd get the same tee height every time. Very long lasting tees, should last a few rounds each, unlike wooden tees. I would never use one for hitting my irons, as it's not needed and would only break if I did use it. For irons, I just use the short 1-1/4' size. For me, I'll only use these adjustable tees for my driver. For a driver, they work great.
