I've just purchased the new r7 but I haven't got to hit it yet due to I work offshore on an oil drilling rig. Does anyone know the buzz on the street about this driver?

Wow!! Have you installed a Driving Range Mat somewhere on the rig for practice? The expense of hitting golf balls one time only might get a little steep but I bet it would be fun to hit them off the platform.

Unfortunately, I can't give you any feedback on the new driver... I've hit them but not enough to have tried moving the weights around. Good luck and let us know what you find out!!

I know 2 guys with the R7. They both absolutely crush it, but are having a hard time controlwise. Neither can settle on a configuration. Consequently, it has not improved their handicaps at all - a little too much technology, maybe?

One benefit for everyone else - the prices on TaylorMade's 5XX series are coming way down.
