Now that the M3 is discontinued, they are on sale for a really low price. I just purchase the M3 Tour and the M3 LT for less than $ 15.00 a dozen. I have read some good reviews on the M3 Tour but nothing on the M3 LT. Can anyone out there tell what the diffence is between the two balls? The balls used to sell for $40.00 a dozen, so I decided to give them a try. I'll let you know what if any diffance I can detect in the M3 LT when I can.

after yer post i stopped at golfsmith after a practice round & bought a doz at $19. the tour. will try this wkend. 1 salesman w/ golfer tan said the ball has distance but really doesn't stop on the greens. the cover feels kinda hard, not like the softer covers that are out there. i play topflite now, but since i'm playing better i'm thinking of a softer ball w/ more spin around greens, but don't wanna pay $40! so i'll try these & see what happens. if they're good, i'll go buy a bunch. it's a huge stack that has barely gone down in 2 weeks.

I got mine at Galyans for $14.95. If you like the ball and there is a store near you, you may want to visit them instead or have Golfsmith match the price.

Please let me know how you like them compared to the ProV1 you mentioned in your last reply. Thanks, Don

Don,

I'm not sure if it's still on, but last week Dick's was selling the M3 Tour 2 dozen for $19.90. Compared to the Pro-V1, I seem to get more distance out of the M3 but the V1 checks up much better. I thought it compared more with the the NXT.

I noticed justplainbill mentioned the Pro-V1 X-outs. FYI, I was curious about whether the 'X' factor was cosmetic or funtional so I asked Titleist Customer Support. I had just bought a dozen and some of the printing was off, but some looked fine.

According to Titleist, the X-outs could have problems in either area. For playability, though, it sounded like if you got a ball that looks good in a X-out box it probably failed QA.

bought a dozen for $19 at golfsmith. a bit shorter but w/ a bit more spin. pro v1 is definitely a better ball. the x-outs have worked fine for me...just can't find any! i like a ball that's long & straight. (who doesn't?) i played the back 9 by myself hitting 4 balls each hole. top flite gave me what i was after. w/ forged irons all balls feel soft to me.

Tried Dick's for the M3, but they show a price of $39.95 a dozen which is way too high. I contacted Maxfli and they told me that the LT is a higher spin version of the M3. Also stated that the flight path is lower to keep the ball from ballooning with the higher spin. Distance is said to be the same. I hope that helps any one that may be thinking of trying the M3. At $15.00 a dozen for a tour quaility ball, it sounds like it would be worth a chance. Don
