I have gone from one extreme to the other. I have gone from hitting a high arcing slice/fade with my 9.0 Cobra 460 sz r flex driver to hitting lien driver draw following swing change. How do I get some trajectory back on the ball. Is the loss in trajectory due to the aggressive release of the wrists? Do I need to switch to a higher lofter driver?

ABD, where do you position the ball in your stance? And how hight do you tee the ball? I would say that yes, you should consider more loft on your driver but teeing the ball higher and moving the ball far enough forward in your stance to catch the ball on the way "up" with your driver could also help too. Lots of factors go into the trajectory of your ball flight but tweaking those could/should help.

I will ask the possibly so obvious its dumb question - but it sounds like you went from primarily 1 extreme (high cut) to the other (low snap hook).. Why the drastic change?

Obviously you made some swing change which has (by the sounds) is basically a 180 from what you were doing. It sounds to me that you simply need to find the "happy medium" between what you were doing and what you are doing.

Now without knowing what you did you referenced "releasing your wrists" which sounds to me like you might be flipping over the top of the ball rather than making a "correct" release. I would see how your timing shapes up over your next few times out at the range and see if the problem sort of straightens it self out.... no pun intended!

What you have to realize, it that when you hit a fade/slice, you had the club face open, which adds loft to your driver. Now that you have the face closed and hitting a draw, it's only natural that you will hit the ball lower. Teeing the ball higher and hitting up on the ball will help gain some height on your drives. but I'd still recommend you move up to at least a 10.5* driver, if not a 12* driver. Especially if you stick with the draw swing, you'll need a good bit more loft if you want to get more carry yardage.

It would be money well spent to get a lesson from a teaching pro.
Sometimes it's easy to give advice and help a problem, but what you are writing about is difficult without seeing you swing, as there are so many variables. Trial and error may fix the problem, but it usually results in correcting an error by creating a bad habit.
