Has anyone used the TrueTemper ShaftLab testing equipment. I was just tested and I find the result rather stange. My swing speed with my driver tops out at 107,but it was recommended that I use a 46 gram A Flex shaft. According to all of the golf component supply catalogs I have, the way to decide what iron shaft to use, you see what club is used from 150 yards out. I hit my 8 iron 150 yards carry, and that works out to a stiff flex, maybe even extra stiff, depending on which catalog I look in and if I want more accuracy or more distance. But again, the ShaftLab recommended I use 107 gram A flex shaft. What's even stranger is that the salesman has a 125MPH swing speed and his test results are the same, an A flex shaft. Sound rather soft to me. I am hitting a stiff shaft in my woods and extra stiff in my irons now. My irons my be a little too stiff, but I love the accuracy I am getting and I am happy for now with 165 yards with my 7 iron, which is just 10 yards less than what the PGA Tour player hit.
If any one out there has any information on TrueTemper ShaftLab testing, I would like to hear from you. I want to build a new driver but I don't want to use an A flex shaft if it is going to be way too soft. Thanks for your help. Don
