Hey gang, my contact over at Golfsmith sent this to me to pass on to our folks in the forums. For what it's worth, a 20% discount on golf apparel if you use the code below. Must be some end of season sale. You can probably pass this around a little to close friends/family, but I wouldn't broadcast:

20% Off Golf Apparel at Golfsmith! Sale Ends Nov. 4th. Use Code WEB844APL

'tis the season...end of golf season, before the holiday shopping season really starts...bargains all over. Although I gagged when I saw my local CVS pharmacy moving the Halloween candy aside to make room for Christmas candy already.

Get out of the way, I see Aimee heading for the cold weather section so she can keep warm out on the course this winter.
Never get in the way of a woman when she's shopping for a sale price item.

Good choice for your cart. I really like mine and have gotten quite a few comments on how it's a better cart then the ones other golfers have.

Most of the time it's the indian not the arrow, but who cares really? If you do look at new putters, try the Sabertooth. It's the one I'd buy if I did't make my own.

That is the one I've been leaning towards.
I'm just waiting til I have another opportunity to try some out in Golf Galaxy to verify.

The main complaint I have with it is the ball will skid a little coming off the face rather than roll.

Hadn't noticed that, but maybe it is the wrong loft for your stroke. Related to that issue, I also do like the Yes! putters.

I never had that problem, or don't realize it happening. My playing partners never commented about skids either.

I only noticed it the second day I demoed one. The balls in the store had black lines on them, and I noticed the black line wasn't spinning for the first foot or so of the putt. Without the line, I most likely wouldn't have noticed it myself. Next time you try one, use a ball with a line around it and see if the line remains stationary for the first foot or so. That's the best way to check for a skid vs a roll.

But the real question is can you get the ball into the hole in less strokes with one or the other...skid or roll....

True, but it is pretty much a given, that if the ball skids, it's at this time that the ball has more chance to go off line and you miss the hole. This is the whole point of some of the putters having lines on the face, to get the ball rolling right from impact.
