Women just don't understand...

Yeah we do. I know I like that about you guys, and that's why I played with the boys, even in elementary school. The women who don't understand, I think they're still really attracted to it.
Now, I've always been glad to be a girl, because I get to have boys for partners. I'm sort of curious what it is that you guys find irresistible in women, and I sense it's the soft nurturing side you want. Just as the little boy stuff has it's irritating downside when not moderated, the churchmarm woman has it's lovely upside when displayed in its best form.
Just like a woman to hijack a manthread and turn it fuzzy, but I'd love to hear what the main attraction of women is. I think it is more than just THAT. Could be wrong.

Don, who is Stephanie Plum?
Laney, speaking for myself here (but anyone else feel free to chime in obviously), I think similar to your response about boys, the biggest irresistible characteristic of women is also the most frustrating. The fact that you are relatively unpredictable and next to impossible to figure out is one big factor.
As a guy, we like to fix things and there are set patterns and logic that make sense to us. We will work our fingers to the bone to figure something out, make something right, correct a situation, or fix our truck. With women, just when we think we've got you figured out, you send a curve ball across the plate. In some instances it's extremely frustrating (like when you occasionally embarass us in front of friends, or get mad for no conceivable reason), in other instances it's a welcome relief (like when we expect to get lambasted for something we know we did wrong and you're sweet as pie).
The other thing that amazes me is how (and again, opinion here), women seem to find complication in things (friendships, relationships, work), and men seek to simplify.
Thoughts?

Chris. You'll have to ask Aimee who Miss Plum is. If she dosn't know, I will tell you, but I'm hoping Aimee knows the answer.
As you menitioned about fixing things. Men try and want to fix things especially when a woman mentions something is broke or wrong. But woman Don't want men to fix it, they just want men to listen to them complain about it being broke or wrong. If a man listens and trys to understand, he gains points. If he tells the woman how to fix the problem, he loses lots of points and is in the doghouse for days. It can take years for a man to learn to shut up and not offer a solution, and just sit back and listen in silence. MOre at 10:00 with the local news program.

You're starting to learn Chris, might be hope for your marriage yet. Here'a another tip for a happy marriage.
No matter what happens or goes wrong, IT'S YOUR FAULT. Doesn't matter if you are quilty or not, YOU are the one that is at fault. NEVER the wife's fault. Even if you were in China when it happened, it was YOUR fault. Remember this, and you might live to see your first anniversery.
And in case you don't already know. When your wife asks you if a certain item of clothing makeS her look fat, THE ONLY CORRECT ANSWER IS NO. If you hesitate even for a split second, you may as well have said YES, and we both know what that will get you.

So, Kev, Cox and I are the wild child's, eh?? You sure about that?? I have two words for you, Kev....Club 76. Nuff said. Maybe if we pump Cox full of 20/20 he would get wild.
Pete, oh, hi...when did you get here? I thought she needed help with her homework? I didn't know...OK, so maybe not you, but definitely Cox is the Wild Child, see, he gets me in trouble all the time.

That he does, my friend. Somehow we get into trouble when we are trying to get him in trouble -- ha ha.
Ok, Don, so a little about me and my game. I live outside of Akron, OH after seven years in Reading, PA. Originally from the Pittsburgh area. I have been trying to play golf for the past 20 years, but not very successfully. Best round I have ever shot was an 87. Normally I shoot in the mid 90's. Never took any lessons until last year, but finally broke down and did it when my wife got me a foursome at Firestone CC. Did not want to go there and really embarrass myself. I learned a lot. Since then, I have been swinging better and with more accuracy, which is what my goal was. Strong part of my game is putting.
Right now I have a 9.5 degree King Cobra Gravity Back driver with a stiff graphite shaft and a set of Cobra CXI irons. I was going to get a new driver this year, my instructor mentioned the Ping G with a higher loft, but based on the economy and my desire for a new car, that got shelved. Rather put the money to that, if I can get the one I want.

Don't forget the hair bands from the 80's, my friend. We are each a plethora of useless knowledge...both a gift and a curse.
Don - thanks for the advise on the G. I really love the Gravity Back that I have, but it is quite outdated. I may even check out Dick's Sporting Goods since I have a $50 gift certificate and see what they have, but I will definately check out Golfsmith.
Ok, Laney, not from a movie this time, but I could probably find a reference. "She" would be a dancer from a club that Kev made us go to. Suffice it to say, he was gone for an hour for a private dance.
We will have to work on Don and Bill, but I am confident we can find them some trouble.

"She" would be a dancer from a club that Kev made us go to. Umm, I was not driving,(which was a good thing) so I don't think make anyone go anywhere. I merely suggested to check out this place. It looked like a good wholesome place, you know the type that serve milk and milkshakes. Anyway, if I'm not mistaken, I wasn't the only one to disappear. Which means that Cox is the bad apple in the bunch. He has the Angus Horns!

Oh, and yes...Pete, Cox and me are a virtual fountain of useless knowledge. Specifically, music, movies, TV, sports, and for myself, history. The three of us usually get a stunned look on our face when Chris knows one of the answers.
