Have at it! I see the first round groupings have been released:

http://www.masters.com/en_US/scores/groupings/index.html

I think the Mickelson, Villegas, Furyk group would be a lot of fun to watch. Curious as to the grouping with Tiger. I like that Couples and Mediate will be playing together. Starting to get excited for this thing...

As always there's no shortage of Tiger Talk.. do you guys think he will take his 5th?

I don't but wouldn't be surprised if he did. He's that good.

Chris; Are you going to post the ranking for each of the members entered in the contest at the end of each round, so we can see how we stand day to day? Assuming it wouldn't be a lot of trouble for you to do that, it would be fun to know how I stand. Just an idea to cause you more work.

Kevin, it looks to me based on the scores, that you're actually tied for 5th. Just to confirm, if there are ties at the top position - everyone wins the gift card. (Yikes..) smile

Chris, I am tied for 8th.

When you have a tie, you count the spots until the next score, so right now it would be

1 - philjo11
T2 - Aimee
T2 - AminoVital
4 - Titus
T5 - YouDaMan
T5 - scmiller
T5 - SirShanksalot
T8 - Klun
T8 - JLTHACKS
T8 - CaboWaboUs69
T8 - Sammae

See, there are 7 players ahead of me.

I'm just going to wait until Saturday to see how far ahead I am with my picks. Have no idea where I stand at the moment, but it's only after one round so it will all change big time by Saturday.

Way to go Aimee!!

Well, with losing Zach Johnson and being about 15 points behind Aimee, I, now, have very little chance to doing anything.

Chris, thanks for doing this. This is awesome!!

What I find interesting is other than Aimee and Klun, none of the top 10 are regular members of the forum. There is Youtaman with a total of 2 posts in the forum, and all the others have a combined ZERO posts.

Chris, I hope you are doing a screening to make sure all these new members are in fact new members and not someone setting up extra memberships just to try to win the money.

I find ir odd we have all these new members all of a sudden, and 7 of them have never posted in the forum. The site has been giving out prizes for posting reviews for months now, with no real increase in memberships. But when there is a FREE contest, and no reviews to write, we have a bunch of new members, and all but one of the members have never posted anything in the forum.

While I understand your concerns Don, there is value in exposure, and remember we still have the April giveaway where only frequent contributors are eligible.

Well, I invited a number of friends to play in the pool and hopefully they'll stick around the forums a bit. We usually have someone running a pool for the majors so this year, I just decided to invite them to Chris'. And I agree with Chris it's good exposure nonetheless.

Golf is a sport of honor..if someone would cheat in a golf pool, tells you a lot about the person I think. So I say we give them the benefit of the doubt.

Hehe, picking the "old man" Kenny Perry looks pretty smart right now. And I always pick Furyk to be in contention. Sergio (phooey) I thought he'd give me a reason to not dislike him. Tiger...well never say never with that guy.

I have to admit that was pretty random on my part. I was trying to fill out my foursome with enough high-odds golfers to get past the 12,000 mark and go figure. I've always liked Kenny from interviews and general demeanor on the course, and felt he would at least be pretty consistent, so I just threw him in. Who knew. I agree with you about Tiger... we still have a full round to go through, but all the statisticians are saying he's never come back after being in this position after 54.. Should be fun to watch!

I'm going to sit back and hope all these new site members stick around after the Masters and post some stuff in the forums. We can use some new blood and ideas.

Don - For what its worth... I can assure you that you have approximately 19 new members as a result of the Masters Tournament. And as Chris pointed out... this has been great exposure. The 19 new members are all good friend from a neighborhood in Ridgefield, CT.

Chris - Great job on the site, pool and a great masters for sure.
