As most marylanders are aware, we have our own "Bay Hills" outside of Annapolis. The Bay Hills course is an Arnold Palmer Managed course. The course has been there since the mid 1920's but was redone in 1969. It's an older course that's been kept in great shape over the decades and the staff works hard to keep it the best condition when possible. Plays well for the avg. golfer. Many rolling fairways and great views. Greens are in fair shape but can be inconsistant. Bent grass makes it nice. Back 9 starts out with a Dogleg right Par 5 (have that beer on the 11 tee). Finishes with a Par 3 over all water. Front 9 is wide open and very enjoyable for most 10-15 hdcps. Easy to hit FIR and GIR. Really cool elevated boxes. Web rates as low as $29. Includes cart. Slow down on cart paths! Many pot holes and steep drops. This is a perfect course to teach the kids. However- no range. Mid week/afternoon is best for the family. Great club house and pro shop staff. Everyone there is your best golf bud. First timers or devoted fans. Although the Marshals can be a little too "local" and try too hard to police the rate of play. Easy to and from parking with short walks to practice green and 1st tee. Try it from the tips and feel like a pro!
