Ok, gang, here are the details for the 2009 Players Championship Golf Pool. Please note the following:

1. Only registered forum members are eligible to win.

2. Only one free entry per registered member, you MUST use your forums display name (e.g. "ChrisB") to be eligible.

3. The winner will be the entry with the lowest aggregate score for their team at the end of all four rounds.

4. This time around, instead of using the Vegas Odds, I have used the World Golf Ranking (as of Sunday, May 3) for the Top 50 golfers, and then for anyone that wasn't ranked in the top 50, I set their rank to 50. Your team total rank MUST add up to 100 or greater, or the system will reject your entry form.

3. Top Prize $100 Golfsmith gift card, Second Prize $50 Golfsmith gift card, third prize $25 Golfsmith gift card. If there is a tie for each position, all parties tied will win the prize. (Yikes, I know, this could get costly, but just giving back some love here)

4. Entry form will be disabled on or about midnight, Wednesday, May 6, 2009 Eastern Standard Time. Don't forget to get your entry in, and tell all your golf buddies too!

You can access the LEADERBOARD at any time during the tournament. Scores will only be updated after each round has been completed on a daily basis. Golfers that did not make the cut will be scored at 80 for the round.

If anyone sees any problems with the list of players, the functionality of the pool itself, or the rankings, please contact me via PM immediately. Please have patience with this, as it's our second attempt at hosting something like this. We will continue to learn from it, and build on the functionality over time.

Current forum members please note: This pool was designed as a fun way to drive membership also. If you have friends that golf and might have fun with something like this, please forward this post to them and encourage them to sign up for the forums and participate in this pool. It's completely free.

Klun; If we do this again for the next major, you would be wise to not entry your picks until after I enter mine. Then you know exactly who NOT to pick for your team. Should give you a pretty good edge based on my picks the first two events.

Aimee!! What the heck? Your team blew up.. I was surprised after running the numbers in you went from numero uno to next to last? Let me know if any of those numbers look funny, just surprising, but I guess it's possible..

I know it's a crap shoot when my wife is in third.. she doesn't realize she's not eligible to win, as that would be nepotism.. oh well, she's having fun anyway..

The total column only has the Round 2 scores, shouldn't this be Rd 1 plus Rd 2? Then when you sort based on the added up rounds you get a whole different order. Kevboy then jumps into the lead 3 over Doc T, and Aimee jumps from 17th to 8th and I moved up from 11th to 9th.

Yeah, I think Klun's right. The total is not being quite calculated correctly it doesn't seem like.

I think I was so tired last night I forgot to run the last SQL script.. duh.. will work on that now.. sorry gang (it's just my secret way to keep you all coming back multiple times a day to check..)

DocT in the lead, kevboy is tied with newcomer TomS (Tom, speak up if you're out there! Nice choices... )

Pretty impressive run by Cejka, wonder if he'll choke on the last day or pull through... personally, I'd like to see him take it, as I like to see someone that can get ahead and control their nerves and continue to play well without breaking apart. What do you guys think?
