OK, who knows anything about this? I was reading an article the other day where the author was talking about some type of canister or other contraption where you could fill it with water and due to some mechanical engineering magic, you create some highly efficient combustion scenario where typical gasoline engines can get up to double the gas mileage. Does anyone follow this type of thing? Thought it was interesting and it was a real news source that seemed credible. What do you know?

Sounds great....
But I think you have a better chance "eating more beans" and then "tooting" in the tank...Supposely they make you have "gas"...Thus more miles between "fill-up"....

Dont believe it. Just another scam.

Now there is some equipment that dissassociates the water into oxygen and hydrogen, the hydrogen then can be used to power ther car, Unfortunately the energy required to do this is more than the energy you get out of burning the hydrogen. I think Iceland uses this tech, because they can produce electricity from wind and solar and it only costs for the infrastructure and hydrogen cars are starting to be a big deal over there.

CHeck this out, I just found a CNN link

I actually have a friend that installed it on his car, a year ago, and he gained over 15 extra miles per gallon with no performance loss.

I saw a deal on 60 minutes a couple weeks ago and they were doing a piece on something similar. The reporter knocked on the door and the guy refused to answer. Next they camped out and when he left they started to question him. The mechanic that installed the units took a swing at the camera guy.

I guess I am just skeptical. But I sure would like to see this thing. Maybe after everybody has one I will get on the band wagon

The one I'm talking about was perfected by a guy in Denver who retired as an aerospace engineer form Nassau. Larry, my friend, is a friend of his and has been using his design for over a year with great results.
I don't really know anything about it, but If any of you want, I'll call Larry and ask if I can give any of you his phone number.

Chris, how can you write, "Bill, seriously?" when you know I always am.

LOL... Maybe invite Larry to the forums. Does he golf? I could probably donate a gift card for some cool ideas on how to put something like this together... I hear bartering is making a comeback.. but in all seriousness, it would be interesting to hear about.. from a credible source..

Chris; I can't tell you anything about this setup, but I can tell you that the military HAS been using WATER INJECTION in fighter jets for decades for an added power boost. I also know tha water is H2O, mnaning 2 parts H and one part O. And I'm pretty suce we can agree, that Hydrogen is quite happy to burn nice and clean when mixed with plenty of Oxygen. So if they can change water into H and O, which is pretty simple really. it makes sense they could then burn it and get power from it.

I also remember reading about a car that ran on water and carbon paper. This was back in high school, so it's really old. I don't remember how it worked, but somehow water was dripped onto carbon paper, and what you got was burned as the fuel.
