Years ago when I started playing golf I met a man who'd been hit by lightning on the golf course TWICE. He was an older gentleman and was very nice and loved sharing his story. Apparently the strikes had happened a few months apart at the same course!

Goosen has been hit what, once or twice? They used to say that's why he had "ice in his veins" since he was (for a while) money under pressure.

Never known anyone struck on the golf course. Know someone struck on a mountain, and lived to tell about it.

I did play golf with an older gentleman, he was 103...hell I just hope I'm alive at 103 let alone playing golf. Courses should let you play for free once you hit 100 (years in age that is...)

No, and I would think that once was plenty. It's scary just thinking about something like this happening.
