Tour players forced to mingle ... and don't like it - I’ve said this before and probably will say it many, many more times.
In a lot of ways, I respect professional golfers much more than a lot of other athletes in the “play for pay” business. A...

FYI, Todd Sonnes Golf while a good golf teaching school, teaches basicly one size fits all style. While they work to give you a Pro style swing they do not try to work with what you have. They also don't tell you that they will tear your swing down and start you over which will cost you lots of money (at $100 per lesson)and lots of painful rounds of golf. While the instructors a good I'm not sure I would pay for something that may not be what you're looking for.

I really enjoyed reading this thread as I'm thinking about taking up golf lessons again. I don't get out on the range often enough to practice and my consistency falls off. I'm moving to Canada shortly and hope to start out fresh with a good trainer.

I signed up for a golf class during summer session at my university. It was the best thing that ever happened to my game. I was a real hacker, and the first time I played after the class was over I shaved 12 strokes off of my average 18-hole score. My drives were straighter and my short game was much improved.

Where in Canada are you going, Tig? Markham. Now I'm not all that familiar with the place so I hope you know where that is. All I can say is that Markham is in Ontario, just north of Toronto.

That is pretty impressive stuff. How has it being for you since then? Have you improved as you pratised more what you learnt? It's examples like yours that make want to go back to the drawing board.

I had the same thing happen after I took a course. Thing is though at first the strokes come off in bunches then it gets harder to shave the last few strokes. Keep at it though

Way back when, I believe that you mentioned getting different instructors. I haven't found this useful for any sport - I find that consistency of instruction allows me to build on my learning over time, because they get to know how I work. I don't have to spend the first part of each lesson tutoring my instructor on what I've worked on before.
