I hate the painful reminders I get that I am losing my hair. I am still suffering from a bad burn to the top of my head after playing 9 earlier this week. I actually had to visit my doctor for this burn. He said he'd write me a prescription for a hat if he thought I would actually wear it. After this experience, I think I am convinced that I can no longer play golf without wearing a hat.

OUCH! So once in my younger days me and a friend were driving to the beaches of North Carolina in my T-Top Camaro with the tops out. Upon arrival, my friend, who was balding on top at the time, wished he had put on a hat as the top of his head was seriously RED. So I agree, wear a hat. I personally don't really care for the basic visors, I have one but I'm always feeling like I need to readjust it.

I always wear a hat when I"m out playing golf. I don't remember the last time I owned a comb.

You don't have to be thinning on top to get a burned scalp. The other benefit is the brim shades the top of your nose!

The mention of a comb reminds me of another time. I made a 3 hour drive home from college with my top down. I totally burned my scalp. A friend of mine called me to go out that night. So, I went to comb my hair and . . . it hurt so bad I got sick. You would think I would have learned something.
