Phil Mickelson’s mom just came out that she has breast cancer. 6 weeks ago Amy (Phil’s’ wife) came out and said she had it too. It is very sad! Last I read Phil said he wasn’t sure what he would be doing the rest of the golf schedule. It all depends on how his wife is doing with the battle with cancer. I love to watch Phil golf on TV, but I’m glad that he is taking time off to help his family through this too.

Phil is blessed to have made "ton's of money"...
He can get Aimee and his mother the best of care available.
Staying close to his dad and children will help him through this also.He has enough money to stay home as long as he wants.
Phil is my man...The Tour needs him also....

I feel for Phil and his family. I'm sure he won't have the focus he normally has when he plays but Golf is probably a diversion he needs here and there. But most of his time and energy should be directed home. The tour will be here when he comes back.

I agree with that srushing. His family needs him right now. I will miss watching him, but his choice is right. I do think that golf will be a great diversion too.
