Reading? You need to realize 2 important facts about reading: 1) if it's that good, they'll make a movie out of it and for the cost of a book you get a ticket...2) In the time it takes to read a novel, you could have played at least 54 holes of golf or done maybe 400 equipment/course reviews almost assuring yourself of a prize from the GGR contests. Do you guys just want to throw that money away??? Seriously, if you like adventure/fiction, all the Clive Cussler novels are great. I'm behind by 1.5 but have read almost all of them. Excellent points there. But I have to say that I feel much less stress turning a page than standing over a golf ball before I start my swing.

I am in the process of reading "Battle Cry of Freedom" by James McPherson, it's a history on the Civil War, fantastic book.
Others that I have read: D-Day; Citizen Soldier; Band of Brothers; Pegasus Bridge; and Comrades: Brothers, Fathers, Heroes, Sons, Pals by Stephen Ambrose
Ghost Soldiers by Hampton Sides
The Long Gray Line and have An Army At Dawn by Rick Atkinson
I have read all of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan books.
The original three Bourne Books by Robert Ludlum - the Bourne Identity, Bourne Supremacy & Bourne Ultimatum as well as The Bourne Legacy by Eric Van Lustbader.
The Hobbit, and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy by JRR Tolkien
American Soldier: the Autobiograhy of Gen Tommy Franks Waylon: the Autobiography of Waylon Jennings Private Parts by Howard Stern
These are probably the most recent books I've read (except for the Tom Clancy's as I've been reading them since the early 90's)

Audio books are cheating plus I don't have an Ipod.
Oh, plus I forgot to add a few Edgar Allan Poe short stories, as well as a few Sherlock Holmes short stories. And The Catcher Was a Spy (biography of Moe Berg) and a biography of Honus Wagner, Eight Men Out, The Natural, the Book of Job as well as Genesis/Exodus and the 4 Gospels of the Bible

Oh, I like the idea of listening to an audio book while playing golf! Unfortunately I don't walk and chew gum at the same time because I get distracted. So trying to pay attention to a book is probably out of the question...

Just finished The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. Very typical Brown...My favorite is still Angel & Demons (of his Robert Langdon, series).
Another series I read was the Admiral Thrawn Trilogy in the Star Wars Universe. These were written by Timothy Zahn.
Oh, and I'm still trying to get through Battle Cry of Freedom. I set it down and have had a hard time getting back into it.
I have another book besides my chair that I am trying to get started. This one is Thunder in the Mountains: The West Virginia Mine War 1920-21 by Lon Savage.

Never got into Tom Clancy's other series, I have stayed with the Jack Ryan series, although, I did read Red Storm Rising (his WWIII) which was a fantastic read, even though it was well over 1000 pages.
