I just got back from a trip to Niagara Falls with my wife and son. I HIGHLY recommend this destination to anyone as a family trip or a couples' get-a-way.

We stayed on the Canadian side, but did visit Goat's Island (US) on the way to our hotel. Also managed a visit to Toronto to see the Red Sox and Jays play.

If you fly into Buffalo and drive the remainder of the trip, you will have to visit Duff's Buffalo Wings for the best Buffalo wings.

So what's everyone else doing for vacation this year? Or stay-cations's if you aren't traveling? Seems the forums have gotten quite so we'll veer off the beaten path and talk vacation.

I just returned from a week in Oak Island NC, right on the coast about an hour from Myrtle Beach SC. Lots of golf courses but no time given my family was there. Me and the kids played on the beach, in the ocean and the pool.

Might be heading out west later this year for a short trip to San Antonio in addition to the GGR trip, and still have a 3 day Myrtle trip at the end of Sept coming up. So I'm doing my part for the economy! smile

We've taken our annual family sojourn to the Outer Banks, returning home on July 4. It was a great week. No golf, too many family obligations that week.
May well take a couple shorter jaunts with my wife once we get our daughter back to college. Want to go to someplace like the Greenbrier or Stonewall Jackson in West Virginia.

So far this year, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee, Brewers, Toronto Blue Jays and next month heading to Pittsburgh to see the Pirates. I guess that you could call them a 'minor' league team of sorts. ;-)

A minor league road trip seems interesting. Have you ever been to a Paw Sox game (minor league Red Sox in Providence, RI)?

I have been to a Trenton Thunder game (Yankees minor league team) and my husband threw out a pitch (yes, he threw a strike).

Nice Aimee.

Hobert, no I have not. We usually set our limits to some place we can drive to and back from without being too late. We usually have 10+ people going. But I do have friends who have gotten me interested in making a 7 long trek around the US and every where they stop has a minor league park they go see. I really enjoy the minor league atmosphere...so maybe I'll do that one day...
