Hi,

New to forum. I have accumulated a nice chunk of Shop Credit at my local course and I'm looking at getting a new set of irons. This is really only my third full year golfing and I'm a 19 HCap. My clubs noware aset of older Cleveland Launchers I got used from 3Balls.

Two questions/opinions:
I'm thinking of Game Improvement (Full Cavity), don't think I should fool myself with anything that is more "workable". Agree?

I'm looking at
Nike VR full Cavity
Taylormade Burner
Callaway X-22
Cleveland CG7

Thoughts? Other than initial rush from new clubs, shouldIexpect to gain any distance from any of these?

Mike

First of all. Welcome to the site. As for the irons, I don't think you will see much difference in terms of distance with any of those sets, unless the loft of one set is lower than your current set. Main thing to do is to get a set with the RIGHT shaft for YOU. I'd also recommend you check out the Acer XK irons from Hireko Golf. Excellent set of irons, and with the right shaft, they should be a nice set for you. I've get a set of ther XK Pro irons with Dynamic Gold R flex shafts, and they are excellent clubs.
Best advice I can give it to DEMO each set and see what YOU like the best.

Welcome 1LB....

All of those are great clubs and each would be a great set. Best thing to do is go by a golf store and try to hit an/some iron(s) from each set and just see if one feels better than the other. I hear good things about the X22s and I've hit them. I've also hit the CG7s and those are nice.

Distance wise, you may gain some but I wouldn't "expect" a lot. getting the right shaft for your game will help you get the most of out them, so again, going and hitting and getting the best fit is sound advice.
