Had the opportunity to play a TPC course on Monday for a golf outing.
http://www.tpcatjasnapolana.com/From the website: Situated on 230 acres of breathtaking countryside in the heart of Princeton, TPC Jasna Polana continues to redefine the private club experience – boasting an award-winning championship golf course designed by the legendary Gary Player; an array of amenities; and the personalized service and privileges that have become synonymous with the PGA TOUR’s acclaimed TPC Network of premier clubs.
The course plays 7,098 from the tips, but there are multiple tee boxes which make it pretty playable. It's a challenging layout but not super difficult if you play the right tee box.
It's a pretty spectacular setting...Jasna Polana ("bright meadow" in Polish) was the estate of John Seward Johnson (of the Johnson & Johnson company) and his third wife, Barbara Piasecka. The scandal was that Barbara was his maid and of course the family was not happy about that union...The clubhouse is the former mansion home, you come up a cobblestone driveway through big iron gates. As you enter the club house, the entry foyer has a gigantic double wood staircase. The sitting room off the foyer where we had breakfast included crystal chandeliers. Not too shabby.
