OK gang, I have 7 - SKLZ Putting Gates including the 2 ball trainer. For more info on this product, please look here:

SKLZ Putting Gate Trainer

I'm looking for folks who will be willing to review these units here on GolfGearReview.com. As a courtesy, the first couple will be reserved for any site moderators who are interested in reviewing them. After that, I will open them up to folks on the Top Posters list for the last 30 days - first come, first served.

So having said that, Don, Scott, and Laney - any interest?

Chris; I'd be happy to test the unit and write you a nice review. Thanks for the offer and GOOD GOING coming up with 7 units for the site to test. You just earned your pay for the week my friend. If you need my shipping address again, let me know.

I saw a 2 ball training aid like this one a few years ago. So I built my own out of two golf balls and a dowel. Works as they claim it would. The Gate looks interesting, and being able to adjust the width is a good idea. Start a bit wide, and work up to nice and tight.

I would be interested - but it depends on costs (both you sending to me and me sending it back)
Would be useful for people who are rubbish at putting!

I see you're from Canada! Welcome to the site. We really need some help getting some course reviews from Canada. Please consider submitting some as entries for the most recent giveaway. More information can be found by clicking on the animated marquee link at the top of this page.

Doing my review now. I liked a lot of this device and think used 'correctly' (my way? HA!) it can be useful.

Can I keep it? LOL! Happy to ship it someone else to try or back to Chris (unless I can keep it!!! Just kidding)

Ok, need to make an edit to my recent review of the SKLZ Putting Gate. Chris can you change the post to reflect this in the Quality/Construction section of the review (deleting what was there?)

Quality: For the most part the Putting Gate seems well made. The base seems durable, the side pieces are well polished and have an attractive appearance. The one major flaw is that the wooden sides are held onto the base by 2 pieces of velcro, one attached to the bottom of the wooden block, the other to the base. In repackaging the unit to return, I had to remove the wooden side bars and reattach them as they were in shipping. Well, one swift pull of the wooden side block easily pulled the two pieces of velcro with it, meaning it took next to nothing to separate the velcro from the base unit. Granted this can be easily reattached with some glue, but still the construction is a little suspect if the original gluing doesn't last through 2 removals of the side pieces. Use a little stronger glue next time guys.

Scott. I tried out the Gate a week ago. Worked okay until I HIT the wooded block with my putter coming forward on a long range putt. I use a long easy stroke, so it's easier to get off line than those that use a much shorter stroke. After hitting the wooden block, ALL CONFIDENCE IS LOST. All I could think about was hitting the block again, and it was really hard to make a decent putting stroke after that. Going by this one try, I"d say if you use a long stroke, you might not like the Gate very much, especially at first. If you use a short stroke, you might be fine with it. Either way, you need to give the Gate a try more than once to find out.

Don, I didn't have that problem. I did hit the side bar once and as expected funky things happened. But it didn't bother me on future strokes, I just focused more on making the right stroke, which I guess is the point. But no, I didn't have that problem although I could see how, if you did, you wouldn't want to use this device. But to me it was fine used as I described.
