anyone tried the Cobra S9-1 3 wood? I currently have the cobra pro 13* 3 wood, and it's pretty tough to hit accurate.. thinking about getting the regular s9-1 and putting a proforce v2 76g shaft in it...since the stock HL 55g shaft stinks.. i swing too fast for it... i use to have the 2007 cobra ld 3 wood and i liked it..i'm a big fan of the V2 shafts...thanks

Pomp, I also have an LD 3W, not sure if it's 2007 or 2008. But i love it. Have not hit the S9 version though. Right now I can't see upgrading the 3 or 5 W given how well I hit them.

As much as I like th 76 gram V2 shaft in my driver. I really like the 85 gram ProLaunch Blue FW, fairway wood shafts in all my woods. I've got 4 of them now, and one of my playing partners liked my woods so much he ordered the same shaft for his. Golfsmith had the FW shafts on sale for half price a few months ago. and I picked up two spares just in case.

what do you think of the Matrix Ozik XCon-6 Driver Shaft... thinking about putting one in a S9-1(not Pro)and compare it to my V2....and maybe a Xfw-7 in the 3 wood?

I demoed one driver with the X-con 6 in it and it felt pretty good. If I was to get one, I'd go with the X-con 7 for the extra weight and lower torque rating. Have you throught about the newer UST Proforce Axiv Core shafts? They are supposed to be an upgrade to the V2, and not as expensive as the X-con shafts.

just picked up a matrik xcon-6 for $50. can't beat the price....gonna put it in a S9-1 head and see if i like it better than my UST V2..bought a Matrik Ozik 7, $48 for my S9-1 3 wood to replace the HL Aldila junk shaft..... i'd like to try to pick up the red series AXIV UST, but i don't want to pay the money for a trial and error shaft..

At $50 for the Xcon 6,I just hope you got a real Xcon shaft, and not a counterfeit one.

it's a pulled out shaft from a s9-1 pro driver... it's legit...
