One of my tires has a slow leak, I have sensors built in to indicate when tire pressure is off. Pulled the car out to go to the gym around 7pm and the light was on. I actually had gone to a tire place about 2 weeks ago because (a different) tire had a screw in it and he said it didn't damage it, but he noticed one tire had lower pressure and told me to keep an eye on it. Because I'm around 50K miles I'm almost due for new tires (I was kind of thinking of doing them in December before it snowed) so this may hasten the purchase. Which I was not ready to do at this time, when 4 tires is in the neighborhood of $800 when it's all taxed/fee'd up. Dang it. mad
Oh, and I have a full size spare, so make that 5 tires. frown
Hoping that I might be able to get some coverage under warranty since Yokohama allegedly covers some things if you have over 2/32" of tread/less than 60K miles.
That is if they don't decide you have "abused" the tires.

First update...called Toyota and they said warranty wouldn't cover this kind of condition, only excessive wear. Strike one.
Strike two on my day...also have to take the cat to the vet later today, her cheek is swollen. I think she may have a problem with a tooth. That's gonna cost me.

Hope your tires get changed, and nothing serious with your cat's tooth.

No NEED to buy a new SPARE tire, especially if the currect one is like new. No one does a five tire rotation today with radial tires, so just buy 4 and keep the spare as is. And if you have a Discount Tire store near you, they will repair that leak in your tire for FREE, if you promise to keep them in mind when you do buy NEW tires. They repair all my low tire problems for free for years now.

Got the tire fixed at Toyota, it had a nail (hence the slow leak).
The cat is another issue...she needs surgery on Monday for a bad tooth, maybe more. They can't tell for sure until they put her under anesthesia and start looking around. You know it's going to be expensive when the vet technician says "let me get you an estimate for the procedure"...
She's in pretty good shape for a geriatric cat, so hopefully things will not be too bad on Monday.

Stressful day with the cat. Short version is that she has some issue, perhaps hidden heart disease, which caused a problem with the anesthesia. They brought her out of it before they were done with the procedure and had to put her in an oxygen chamber for a while. She's fine now, thank goodness. I visited her late in the afternoon and she was eating/drinking.
Tomorrow is an echocardiogram to check out her heart and figure out what's going on and how to treat her.
It's very stressful, for any of you with pets, you know. I've had the cat longer than my husband and she's very attached to me.

Thanks for the update on your cat, Aimee. I, too, had a cat and know exactly how you feel. Hang in there.

Not sounding good for the cat, or you for that matter. And expensive too. Good luck with the cat. Good friends are hard to find, don't want to lose this one.

Cat is back home. The other cat is very freaked out and scared of her now, probably from the "hospital" smell. Or maybe because she looks like a poodle with the areas they shaved for the IV's!
Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. She appears to be recovered from her adventure. Although I'm sure she won't be happy to go back at the end of the week for her follow up exam!

Can't blame her for not wanting to go back to the vet. I don't care much for doctors either. Good luck with her.
