If you had to carry your tee shot over water, and the yardage was right at your limit with the driver, of the golf balls you have tried, what would you tee up? And if you know your swing speed, please include that as well, as it does effect how far different balls will fly. Thanks for your input on this, Later, Don.

My swing speed is about 95 with my driver. I have tried just about every ball on the market and I can say that the callaway hx-tour is the farthest one yet. I have read about the soon to be Hogan Tour Deep with a new dimple system and the thinnest cover in any ball.

This is a slightly different scenario than we talked about earlier. If I could choose ANY ball for length I would agree with Chris and say HX-Tour. 107 MPH SS last weekend on the launch monitor. Got avg of 157.5 MPH ball speed with the ProV1X. The HX is really long. I've definitely hit my longest drives with it and the wind doesn't affect it hardly at all.

I don't know if this is the longest ball or not, but I have hit my longest drive ever with a TF Infinity Buttery Feel. 260 yard carry with one drive, an another of 290 yards, counting roll. Normally, for me, anything over 250 total is great. You do the math. If you can still find this ball it might be worth a try. I understand the Ideal Spin is just as long, with even more spin. I got them on clearance for $7.50, down from $19.95. Played 18 holes with one ball and it looks as good as new after it got a bath.
