As I'm sure you all know, Michelle Wie turned pro and signed contracts for about $20 million over the next few years, $10 million for the first year I believe. Must be rough to have that much talent and money at age 15. And this is just the beginning for her. I understand the Asian tour is just waiting to send her a check to come play over there. If the LPGA doesn't make a rules change to allow her to play full time, I don't think she will have to worry about finding an event to play in. The LPGA would be real stupid to not let her play full time in my opinion. She's the hottest draw in woman's golf by far. If the LPGA doesn't take advantage of her turning pro, they are a bunch of idiots.

The LPGA allows 8 sponsor exemptions per year I believe. That should be plenty along with her other "exhibitions" on men's tours while she finishes high school.
Paula Creamer really pushed the envelope for Michelle turning pro. Ms. Creamer has wins and Solheim experience now. Michelle has "almost" made cuts. Big difference there. Too bad Ms. Creamer isn't getting the $10 million!

Women's golf is definitely turning up the heat now though with all of the new talent out there. Before the last season or two I couldn't tell you the last time I watched a women's match on tv, but now I almost always tune in. Granted, they're definitely MUCH easier on the eyes these days it seems, but their level of play has also jumped exponentially as well. I definitely can't blame the sponsors for ante'ing up the dough for these ladies.

They really have stepped up their games. The ladies are starting to spin their approach shots into the greens like the guys. It was just a couple years ago that they would play every shot short and roll it up to the pin. I think they're getting stronger and more fit, and that is allowing them to do more with the way they play their shots. There are some cuties on tour now, and it is easier to watch too!

the women are definately more exciting than in years past, especially with the young good looking women making an impact.

that said, i wonder if you all have the same questions i do regarding annika?
i think she looks like she is DEFINATELY taking roids, and while i dont know and therefore wont accuse, EVERY one of the symptoms is there. massive muscle growth in a short time, excessive sessions in the gym, acne on the face, etc.

anyone else noticing this and wondering if she's trying to keep her edge over the younger generation?

I seem to remember Annika having bad skin before she bulked up...but I did just see a photo of her with her sister Carlotta, and she doesn't look much different in build (unless they are both on the juice ). I've seen women who do take 'roids and they have much different muscle mass than Annika is showing.
