Well we just got back home a couple of weeks ago from playing in the 2005 USBGA National Championship. Although I did not reach my goal of winning the Nastional Championship I will have to say it was a great year of vision impaired golf.

In August I went to Brantford, Ontario, Canadab as part of the 12 member United States team of blind/vision impaired golfers against a 12 member team of Canadian players. We came back home as winners of the Ryder Cup type match.

In August I also had my 2nd hole in one of my 31 year golfing career. I also scored my 1st below 80 round since becoming legally blind by shooting a 78 at a local course.

There were 48 players that were present in Raleigh, NC for the 2005 USBGA National Championship.....33 American players and 15 international players (Canada, Northern Ireland, and Scotland)

I finished the tournament in 7th place among the players eligible for the National Championship in my sight catagory and 10th among all the players.

I finished the season ranked 7th in the United States and 23rd in the world in my sight catagory.

My plans for 2006 are as followes....

May.....Indiana Blind Golf Championships in Ft. Wayne, IN
July....North American Match Play Championship in Wadsworth, OH
Oct.....USBGA National Championship in Portland, OR

Everyone have a great winter and holiday season
