Any idea where I can find original spec's for clubs no longer made (loft/lie angle/SW for irons) if the company is out of business?

What is the brand name of the clubs?

Thanks, Bill...I have those irons and am trying to decide if something new is going to help me significantly (ie, enough to justify the $$). Yes, I did demo (at the range) some new Callaways. Also swung TM RAC HT at Golf Galaxy.
Ah, dreams of new golf clubs...

Aimee,
Those look like Callaways! Very similar in shape. Going through a fitting would be best if you haven't done that before. At least that way you would know if what you have is properly fit and decide from there. Were your clubs custom fit?

Yes, I think my clubs look very similar to the older Big Bertha's...I agree that custom fitting is critical if I want to continue to get better. There is a range that is an authorized Callaway facility for fittings near me, and they give you a credit towards purchase if you pay for the fitting. I fully intend to buy clubs used, since I don't feel like dropping a grand on clubs when I know I can get last year's model for a lot less.
My clubs were not fit to me, since I was pretty new to the game when I bought them (maybe 3 years in?) and just swung several at the range until I found the ones I liked. My teacher said they are perfectly OK for my swing, but after seeing the difference the new driver made, I can't help but wonder about the irons...

I know what you mean. Even new on Ebay, clubs are often going for $200-300 less. I am scoping out new sets as we speak. Not for distance gains, but fitting and forgiveness reasons. Irons have not changed a whole lot in the last few years. If anything, OEM's have started making clubs LESS forgiving to stroke some golfer's egos. The gains in drivers are hard to duplicate with irons, believe me. Most often, all the OEM's do is strengthen the lofts of their clubs so that people think they go "further." I went to Titleist's web site today. I was funny to look at the lofts of their clubs from the 80's in their "vintage clubs" section. The lofts were 2 to 3º, sometimes even 4º weaker than today's clubs. A whole club's difference! Irons are all about knowing the distance you hit them and being able to duplicate it again and again. While I have gained probably 50 yards over the last 5 years with driver technology, my iron distances have not changed a lot. Get fit, but do so in an attempt to find greater accuracy, not distance.

Actually that was part of the reason for trying to find the spec's for my existing irons, to see how they compared in loft and weight to some of the newer ones. I honestly can't complain about the accuracy, but I wouldn't mind something that was a little easier to get some height with. Plus the shafts are regular flex graphite(although they are really light in weight) and I'd like to get lite/senior flex.
