Omar, you're 15 years old. Everyone should learn how to hit a two iron if they're young and have the chance. Get the 2 iron and learn to hit it. Someday you may replace it with a 5 or 7 wood or a hybrid. But you will be able to say, "I could hit 2 irons on a rope in my younger days." Cool, Huh?

Omar: please remember that Bill does have a sense of humor, so don't take that last post as a recommendation to get a 2 iron. Yes, I agree with Bill, it would be good to learn to hit a 2 iron, also good to learn to hit a 1 iron. WHY? Well, if you can manage to hit them real well, you will have plenty of confidence when you have to hit a 3 iron 230 yards to the green and it's mostly over water to get there. Truth is not many pros hit a 2 iron anymore, because it's much easier to hit a wood or hybrid the same distance. But it's still true that is you can hit a 1 or 2 iron well, it will make hitting all the rest of your irons that much easier. If you don't mind spending the money, go for it. You will learn a lot from trying it. And good luck with it.

At that price, I'd definitely pick up the 2 iron. If you are getting serious about golf and competing on your team, a non-matching sand wedge may be better. They're typically easier to open up for sand shots and flop shots, and you can then choose the bounce specs that match the conditions you most often play. More bounce for softer sand/fairway conditions, and less bounce for harder conditions.

Omar,
I agree with mr divots. I've spent some time playing golf in Fla. For Fla. sand, I would recommend getting a Titleist Vokey or a Cleveland 588 sand wedge. 56 degrees with 12 degrees bounce.
I agree with Don also, but don´t tell him that.

Bill I appreciate ur humor and the support. Golf is taken very seriously by myself (bad unglish I know). When you mean non matching sandwedge I guess you mean different companys. I was looking at Adams! Uhh anyway 56 degrees with 12 degree bounce is the Nike Forged Sand Wedge and its a blade (woohoo!) again its only 37 after shipping? is that a steal?

If the Nike wedge is a forged 56 degree with 12 degree bounce and you like the look of it, for $37, GET IT.

If you're not getting both, just realize that even Tiger Woods put away his 2-iron for a tournament and replaced it with a 5-wood.
