Omar: please remember that Bill does have a sense of humor, so don't take that last post as a recommendation to get a 2 iron. Yes, I agree with Bill, it would be good to learn to hit a 2 iron, also good to learn to hit a 1 iron. WHY? Well, if you can manage to hit them real well, you will have plenty of confidence when you have to hit a 3 iron 230 yards to the green and it's mostly over water to get there. Truth is not many pros hit a 2 iron anymore, because it's much easier to hit a wood or hybrid the same distance. But it's still true that is you can hit a 1 or 2 iron well, it will make hitting all the rest of your irons that much easier. If you don't mind spending the money, go for it. You will learn a lot from trying it. And good luck with it.
