Anyone out there ever use these sticks? I've had the Hogan
Edge cavity-back irons for ages and I want to switch to a
more lengthy solid club.I don't mind losing some forgiveness
for a good set of blades.I'm about 120 miles from a large
golf retailer.so I can't test many brands.I have hit a
few balls with a 10 year set of Callaway Big Bertha irons
and I was impressed,though not overwhelmed.

I have owned a set of Apex Blades manufactured between 1998 and 2003. These are an excellent set of clubs if you have the game for them. When well hit they are a very soft feeling club but hit the ball a surprisingly long way for a club with a more "traditional" loft. Like all hogan products quality of manufacture is quite superb.

I agree with your opinion on Hogan quality,though I decided
to try an old marquee name,Wilson Staff PI irons.The company
is trying to upgrade their line of clubs,and I have found
these irons to be quite impressive in meeting my objectives,
which were more distance,good feel,and value.

Good choice. Wilson Staff have an excellent pedigree. The PI5 irons have an excellent reputation.
