Anyone ever attended one of these?

I have a coupon for a free workshop, and was just curious as to how it is. It's probably for the Beginner session: making a steel shaft sand wedge.

I took a 1/2 day class at Golfsmith 5 years ago, and it's well worth your time. You'll learn all you need to know to assemble a club and install grips. Cost $25 at the time, but know I understand it's free.

Sounds like a reasonable idea. I wish we had a Golfsmith in my area though I wonder if Golf Galaxy offers sessions like this. Not sure I would ever do this but it would be good to know more about the process. But thus far it's been pretty cheap to pay someone to do the few things I've needed done. When you don't keep clubs very long, you don't need much of these things done \:\)

I checked it out on the Golfsmith site. The Beginner Workshop is $15, and they provide all you need to build a sand wedge. I still need to call them up to see if my local store has the workshops.

I would really like to attend a workshop like that. Golfsmith is not in my area, but I would think another major golf company would have workshops. Hopefully one day I take advantage of one.
