Clicgear Review: Cart Model 2.0 Accessories

Manufacturer: Clicgear Golf

Model: Cart Model 2.0
Category: Accessories

Additional Details: This is the model 2.0 in black.

Purchase: I was looking for a good cart and ended up at Golfsmith. They had this on disply. Only this one and one other left, Kiwi green in the box. I paid $179 for 10% off the floor model. $199 on sale price. $249 MSRP.

Pros: I liked the idea of getting a cart to walk the course. This unit is big, but pushes like a dream. For being so large it folds into a very compact size very easily. The wide wheels make it a breeze to push through marshy courses at this time of the year. The wide base make it very stable on inclines, even when pushing cross-ways. It also had a nice 'glove box' for storage of balls and such and a nice 'dashboard' for a score card.

Cons: I did not like the plastic brake handle. Some carts have a metal handle I may have preferred.

Cart Model 2.0 Quality: The frame construction is top notch. I have a tour style bag that fits perfectly in the cradle. I prefer the bunjie cord to the popular velcro style. I expect the cord will be less likely to give problems in the future.

Review & Rating Summary:
I played a course named Knobby Knoll this week. As the name suggests, it looks like a transplant from Scotland, a lot of ups and downs. The cart was stable and pushed effortlessly. My bag stayed where I fastened it. It folded and unfolded very nicely.

Game Description: I have been playing for more than 30 years. Had a 12 year layoff and recently back. Strengths are distance, weakness is approach shots.
