Purchase: I purchased the Cleveland Launcher LP irons in late Fall, 2007 at Sports Authority. The new set I purchased is the 4 iron through PW set of 7 irons. The purchase price for this close out item was $199.

Pros: My prior set of irons was a Mizuno forged set. I realize the newer iron sets tend to be quite a bit over sized and I wanted to find something in between the two, with a fairly compact/comfortable setup at address. This set gives me a comfortable siteline at address, has a nice soft feel and sound at impact and provides a comparable distance to the Mizuno forged set I had for 10 years. The ball flight is a nice consistent trajectory and the ball sits down well on the greens upon descent. So far, I like the looks, feel, distance and setup.

Cons: I have not experienced anything that would require an entry in this category.

Launcher LP Quality: I have owned numerous Cleveland products in the driver and wedge categories in the past and these irons provide the same excellent quality and feedback.

Review & Rating Summary: This are a fine set of irons and a great buy at $199. I use Hybrids in lieu of my 3 iron and have numerous wedges for sand, gap, etc. so the 4-PW set was not a concern to me.

Game Description: Senior golfer with 11 handicap-- Have been playing this great game for 50+ years. Driving and mid to long iron game are strengths. Short irons, chipping and putting require improvement. I was a private course member for 25 years and now play a semi-private course.
