TaylorMade Review: Firesole Irons
Manufacturer: TaylorMade Golf

Purchase: After trying out numerous big-name irons, I decided that Taylor Made clubs just seemed to be more consistant with my game. I purchased my Firesole irons on Ebay for $175 from an individual who had played with them only a couple of times. The seller told me he loved the clubs, but that he couldn't get used to graphite shafts after using steel, so he ordered another set of Firesole irons with S-90 rifle steel shafts to replace them.

Pros: The feel of these clubs are perfect. The way that they are weighted, they tend to feel like an extension of your own body. I was so pleased by the way they perform that I replaced my favorite sand wedge with the Firesole, being that the set came 3-pw. Not only that, but I also purchased the Firesole driver and 3 wood, which is a whole other review.
Cons: The only thing that I would change if I was designing the club is the label on the back of the club head. Instead of having a sticker-type emblem, I would have had it engraved. I've had no problems out of them, but it just seems like it would be fragile. Of course, this is just a cosmetic thing and does not hurt the playability of these clubs at all.
Firesole Quality: The construction of the Taylor Made Firesole Clubs is phenomenol. Unlike any other irons, the Firesole irons are seperated into three different categories (long, mid, and short) and constructed according to the demands of each. The short irons are made of nickel and steel for proper weighting throughout the club head. The mid irons are made of steel with tungsten inserts in the foot for consistant weight transfer under the ball for a more consistant flight pattern. The long irons are made of titanium with tungsten inserts for a harder club face which makes for a longer ball flight, again the tungsten inserts for a better lift under the ball.

Summary: If your wanting to improve both aspects of your game, try these clubs. It was the best $175.00 I've ever spent on a sport. Bottom line; not only will the Firesole clubs improve your physical game, but they will improve confidence for your mental game as well.
