TaylorMade Review: R-80 With Graphite Shafts Irons
Manufacturer: TaylorMade Golf
Details:
Purchase: I went to Roger Dunn to finally get fit correctly for a new set of irons. After the analysis I went to review their selection of used clubs, hoping for either Taylor-Made or Callaway. There was a set of Taylors for $299 and they were like new. I took them over to their practice area and was instantly amazed at how good they felt. Needless to say I walked them strait to the check out counter.

Pros: Not only do these clubs help you to make up for any imperfections in my swing but they feel comfortable and look great. Since purchasing them I have played a dozen or so rounds and with each have improved my accuracy and reduced my score.
Cons: I can't think of much I would change, except for possibly different grips. It could just be that the existing grips were a bit worn or just at that time when they need to be replaced due to age.
R-80 With Graphite Shafts Quality: The clubs feel balanced and promote an accurate swing. The bubble graphite shafts are comfortable with just the right amount of flex to give your shot the accuracy and length.

Summary: Its too bad that I waited so long to finally purchase a real set of clubs instead of using an all you can fit in a bag for $50 set. These clubs will probably be passed down to my up and coming son, if I ever find something worthy of giving them up.
If you can find a set, give them a chance, you won't regret the purchase.
