Purchase: I purchased these from a friend. He is the type of golfer with too much money and too little focus. He buys clubs about monthly and sells them when he sees the next "greatest thing". I bought them after researching the manufacturers website, where they said they were designed for beginners. I paid $400.00 for a 3-PW. The set retails for about $599.00 brand new.

Pros: The first thing I immediately noticed about these clubs was their forgiveness. They were solid on mis-hits, not having much of a variance from a solid hit. I found these getting more height without sacrificing distance. They land very soft, even with the long irons. The weight in the bottom of the club makes it very easy to get a solid hit on the ball.

Cons: The forgiveness has a bit of a drawback. THe mis-hits are not too bad, but it also sacrifices some of the feel. When you hit a perfect shot you just dont get that "feeling" in your hands. The clubs are a little harder than normal to shape your shots, but hitting straight has never been a bad thing. The distance on these clubs is spot on, its tough to stretch a club a little longer than you normally do. These clothes are designed to take full advantage of a smooth swing.

RAC HT Quality: The HT's are extremely durable. They seem to be made of very good material. They are the quality you would expect from a top tier company like Taylor Made. They play exactly as advertised by the company.

Summary: Bottom line is, I would recommend these clubs to any person with a +5 handicap or above. The HT's are the club beginners dream about, making it much easier and much less frustrating to learn the game. The forgiveness and flexibility allows you to focus on learning the game rather than becoming frustrated at bad shots. An excellent pickup especially at the price.
