TaylorMade Review: RAC LT Irons DGS300 Irons

Manufacturer: TaylorMade Golf

Details:

Purchase: Bought set through eBay (ProShopWarehouse) for $500. I was tired of muscleback forged irons and wanted a more forgiving iron.

Pros: They setup easy with thin toplines and little offset. They feel OK for a cast SS set. Distance and accuracy are both good. Easy to shape shots. Still tends to shock on a bad mishit. Not an iron for a high handicapper. Also, not an iron for someone who like light irons. These are heavy irons.

Cons: The grips are suck and due to New Zealand's weather (Yes, like Seattle), I had to change them to a crossline /velvet type grip. The irons showed rust all over the head and TM cleaned them up. The rust however, returned. The quality is not what I expected.I use to play with Cobra and never had this happen to me. The name of the irons (Low Trajectory!)do the product no justice. I hit these irons as high as any others. This does not make them any worse than other irons though.

RAC LT Irons DGS300 Quality: Could be better for the price you pay.

Summary: Nice set of forgiving-, shotmaking- and game improvement- irons. Feels better than SSteel but not as nice as forged. The most consistent irons I have ever played and possessed. The worst I have had considering quality.
