TaylorMade Review: RAC LT S300 Steel Shaft Irons IronsManufacturer: TaylorMade Golf Pros: Very responsive with great feel. Distance is on par with other irons I've played. I have a 6 handicap and usually hit a 7 iron 165 yds. which is what these irons deliver also. These irons aren't for the high handicap golfer better try the RAC OS instead. Love the fact that they have little to no offset with a thin sole. Good feel for chipping and putting shape on shots. Beautiful to look at and easy to line up. I still hit them with plenty of height despite the fact LT stands for Low Trajectory. They have good grooves and I have been able to put alot of backspin on the ball. Nice weight. I have always preferred a forged muscle back iron until now. I really like these RAC LT irons. I have had most of my playing partners try them only to have them get as excited as I am about these irons. The ball really seems to take off the club head with some real speed. Summary: I would say if your game is that of a low to mid handicap golfer and your tired of trying to stay on top of those finicky muscle back blades then do yourself a favor and buy a set of these Taylor Made RAC LT irons. They chip great around the greens and have plenty of feel to get the ball close to the hole and are so easy to slip under a ball on a typical muncipal course tight lie. Most clubs play fairly well on a well groomed country club courses but the real test is can you score on the muni's and with these clubs both such courses are a pleasure. I can still hook and slice at will when my tee shot fails me and I need some trickery to advance the ball. |
