Titleist Review: 690MB True Temper Stiff Irons

Purchase: Golf repair Shop in Paris, France, 1200 USD. I used to play the Ben Hogan Apex blades during 3 years, then switched to the great Ben Hogan Apex Edge Pro as I was looking for more comfort on long irons. Nevertheless, I was indeed having more comfort but I was missing the fantastic sensation/feeling of the blade.

Pros: The feeling at adress and impact is sweet. Those clubs with their muscle back gives a great feed-back. You know right-away at impact if the shot is good or not. The irons 8,9, PW are true weapon in term of precision. Also, they are very easy to work the ball (fade, draw, low flight....etc....) Last but not least, the look of this serie in the bag is pretty cool.

Cons: Iron 3 is a tough mama to hit from the tee or on the fairways...Gotta be a scratch player to take benefit from it. I took-it-out of the bag and I replaced it with a Iron 2 Big Bertha rifle 6.5.

690MB True Temper Stiff Quality: Great quality, almost as good as the Ben Hogan standards and much better than the Mizuno MP 33....as well

Summary: Even if you are not a scratch player (my current handicap is 7) and you are interested in playing Blades, go right now to a golf shop to buy it. They are great to improve your playing skills. Also, if you have some fear regarding the difficulty to play Iron 3 or 4, just do like I did by byuing another forgiving iron or Hybrid. You will not regret playing those beauties. Once again, the feed-back given from iron 5 to PW is solid and great !
