Titleist Review: 981 Irons

Purchase: I ordered a new set of 981's from National Golf in Spokane, Washington. I tried the demo in the shop and they set up and hit just to my liking. I paid $599 for the set of 3-Wedge. They came with the Tri Spec regular flex shafts.

Pros: The irons are very accurate to the green. I have a tendancy to hit a draw and these irons keep my draw in line. The long irons are my weakness and these clubs help me greatly. I just got my first hole in one on at 180 yards with the 5 iron.

Cons: The 3 iron has a tendancy to go right on me. But that has more to do with my swing then the iron.

981 Quality: The quality of the irons are superior and Titleist has a superior product. I have had no problems the the irons.

Summary: I would recommend these irons to any low to mid handicap golfer that appreciates a classic look and feel in an iron. The short irons are very accurate.
