Titleist Review: DCI 962 Irons

Purchase: I tried a friend's set of 962's and really liked them. Bought my set of 2 iron - PW for $187 plus $30 shipping to Canada. Came out to about $300 canadian with the exchange.

Pros: My old irons had a terrible feel to them. These feel great when you hit them. You can work the ball with them if you like. I don't like to hit a fade with my irons, but I can hit a draw with them very easily. They're probably a half to a full club longer than my old wilson prostaff irons. I'm just hitting a lot more greens and a lot of shots closer with these irons. It should also be noted that David Duval shot 59 with the blade model of these irons.

Cons: Not much. Can't really think of anything. The long irons aren't super easy to hit, but as a 10 hcp I've never been able to hit long irons very easily.

DCI 962 Quality: The quality of these irons are perfect. No complaints.

Summary: I love these irons and I think the only way I'm going to get these out of the bag is if I buy a new set of Ping irons that are custom fitted. In fact, I know a couple of people with these irons and they feel the same way. I've read on some golf message boards that some guys still wish they had their 962's instead of their newer Titleist irons.
