Purchase: after not playing for ten years a friend and i discussed that we would it would be nice to get out the old clubs and play again. i've always played with wilson clubs since the late sixties and had good play with them. well i decided that a new set of clubs were needed so off to academy sports i go. now i have steel shafts and my new low torque graphite shafts plus many other extras. it's hard to leave the store without the all the extras, right. the price was $299.00 not bad.

Pros: the grips feel great and the flex shaft is different from the steel but did not take long to adjust. oversized heads are a big benefit and look good as well.

Cons: i really can't think of a thing i don't like about the clubs other than i can't find a 2 iron in the ad series.

Mens Prostaff Quality: the head is made of a oversized 431 stainless steel head that makes a more solid contact for distance and accuracy. the shaft is much different from my steel shaft in that you don't feel as much shock in the the initial strike. made of a low torque carbon fiber graphite i can feel the flex and ease of my swing a more fluid one.

Summary: thoroughly pleased with both sets and have set a three step goal. goal # 1 is to get my handicap down to the low,low eighties with the "prostaff ad" set. goal # 2 once i have stepped into the seventies a set of wilson "deep red II" will be my reward. goal # 3 with training and hard work, if i can, is to play in a local tournament or better. go deep, go straight and have fun.
