Purchase: Purchased at Golf Monster in Las Vegas, NV.
Paid retail of $250. I have spent quite a bit of time on the Bobby Grace website before and after he was signed by MacGregor. I watched several pros putt extremely well with various Bobby Grace putters and decided to try one. This was much less expensive than the prototypes on the website.
Pros: The weight and configuration of the putter promote square alignment and a smooth swing into the ball. Alignment is superb. Touch, feel, and distance control are nearly automatic. The ball goes where it is aimed and roll is extremely reliable.
It is very useful from just off the green.
The design of the putter promotes confidence from long and medium length putts. From 10 feet in, it is deadly.
Cons: It took a while to adjust to its looks and to figure out what to look at while lining up the putts. Its appearance was unusual for me early on. I tried not to like this putter for the first few rounds that it took to get used to it. Now, no other putter feels comfortable in my hands. There is nothing to dislike when the ball keeps rolling into the hole or lays up within inches from long and medium distances.
Bobby Grace MOI M5k Quality: The quality and construction is top-of-the-line. The grip is comfortable and the design of the club head permits varying lie angles.
Review & Rating Summary: I have had many putters and several Camerons, including the Futura, which I gave up on as being too light and spooky from a distance. This putter, while expensive, is less expensive than any of the Camerons.
If you can adjust to the look, you will definitely appreciate the quality, the reliability, and the pleasure of having a putter roll the ball at the pace and on the line you want it to.
