Mizuno Review: T.P. Mills Forged #9 Putter

Manufacturer: Mizuno Golf

Model: T.P. Mills Forged #9
Category: Putters

Additional Details:

Purchase: This putter was purchased on ebay from the same individual that I purchased my set of MX-23 irons from. I acquired the T.P. Mills to replace an Odyssey putter that had seen better days and wanted to try something different from a different manufacturer. I paid $39 for the T.P. Mills #9 putter and that included shipping, insurance and the matching headcover.

Pros: The T.P. Mills #9 is a classic style putter with an elongated head design . T.P. Mills combines his classic neck with an innovative head shape for a striking new look which may be an acquired taste for some. The trademark sighting oval to aid in alignment is also beneficial and a nice thing to have. The ball just seems to fly off of this putter and it has a clean crisp feel that was lacking in my previous putter. I have already noticed a vast improvement since purchasing the putter and I even sunk a 40 foot putt which would have been impossible with my previous model. I also like the confidence it gives me when I lean over the ball and if I miss a putt now, its because of too much power instead of leaving it short all of the time, which I can gladly live with.

Cons: Its sounds stupid I know, but the headcover is a very loud, rainbow-blue color and has been replaced in my bag already! Mizuno REALLY needs to look into improving headcovers for ALL of there clubs!

T.P. Mills Forged #9 Quality: The construction is very solid and for the money, is hard to beat! It is a nice looking putter at an even better price! As far as quality goes, I'm very pleased with mine. It looks good, sounds good, and feels even better upon contact. It seems that Mizuno takes great pride in there putters and more folks should give them a looksie! I recommend this putter if your someone who needs to make long putts and prefers to put off the fringe or even off the fairway within 20 yards instead of chipping or pitching.
