Nike Review: IC 20/15 Mallet Putter

Manufacturer: Nike Golf

Model: IC 20/15 Mallet
Category: Putters

Additional Details: Standard all green (only color you can get it in) w/ 35' shaft.

Purchase: I got this putter at Golf Galaxy. Actually went in to buy some tees and balls and saw these on sale for $50 because they were used as a demos. Had been in the market for a new putter and was interested in giving one of these a try. Man am I glad I did.

Pros: This putter is so user friendly. First off, contrary to what people say the all green color is not that bad. I kind of like it. Secondly, the alignment aid is one of the best I have seen. I have used a lot of putters in my search for 'the one' (Baby Ben, Odyssey, Ping) and this is it. The feel of it exudes confidence, no twisting or 'yips', the ball goes right where you aim it. Using a mallet takes a little getting used to but once you have figured it out get ready to start dropping strokes. This putter is money.

Cons: I guess the only complaint is the head cover, it could be a little less complex. Once you get used to it, it's a small price to pay for such a great club.

IC 20/15 Mallet Quality: Overall quality is excellent. Nike really got it right with this putter.

Review & Rating Summary:
Bottom line is if you want to save strokes and are looking for a mallet putter this is the club for you. Price is right ($139 non-demo price) and quality is great. If you are a die hard blade purist this may not be the putter for you, but I would at least give it try you may be pleasantly surprised.

Nike IC 20/15 Mallet Rating: 5

Game Description: I have been playing regularly (2-3 times per week) for about 2 years. Best part of my game is the short game (150 yds. and in). Weakest part is mid to long irons and putting. Best course in the area that I would say I play the most is The Oaks.

Average Score For 18: 80's
