Purchase: After looking at and demoing this putter for months (from February through August 2002), I finally purchased it at Edwin Watts for $169. I purchased the 2 ball because while my Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Pro Platinum is an excellent putter, I found that I was not staying on line with the stroke. The 2 ball helped me stay on my stroke path.

What I Like About The Odyssey 2 Ball Putter: When you stand over the 2 ball, you essentially see 3 golf balls and when making your stroke, you will have a tendency to stay on line since the 2 balls on the putter follow your ball. I also enjoy the fact that the putter is very easy to line up. All you have to worry about is distance control. The putter also makes shorts puts of 5 feet or less a virtual snap. This putter gives you lots of confidence on the short ones. I feel like I have a chance to make every putt

What I Do Not Like About These Putters: It does take some time to adjust to the 2 ball. Both me and a friend were just popping the ball at first as the putter seems so large one is fearful of hitting too hard. But popping it was just sending the ball past the hole. You also must adjust to the 3 balls in your vision and the putter moving. If you remember to stand tall, use your shoulders, pull your left arm coming through and accelerate through the putt, you will be just fine. I have holed more 1 putts with this putter in 2 months than my previous 3 Scotty Camerons in 4 years.

2 Ball Putter Quality: The quality of the clubhead is very high and the gold ball and face inserts are easy to clean. As with all putters, make sure the grip is lined up square with the club face.

Review & Rating Summary: This is a great putter and easy to line up. Adjust to it, be patient and it will reward you with lots of 1 putts. If you are not having success with it, I would suggest a putting lesson as the problem is not the wand, it's the magician.
