Purchase: Acquired this putter at my local pro shop. Set out one day to buy a putter and saw this one and the tri-ball SRT (Oddysey). Tried about 10 to 12 10 footers with the Doc 17-only missed three, and by that time, I had never really practiced putting. The same day, tried the Tri-ball SRT and it felt too heavy compared to the Doc 17.
Pros: The size just gives you great confidence. Caddies at my club joke around that with this size, there's just no way of taking your eyes off the ball-putter, therefore, less mis-hits.
Cons: The alignment line seems too small on this model. I took tke idea from the smaller models (Doc 12.5 and Doc 15) to increase this line and complete it all the way to the back. With the help of a friend, we delicately spray-painted the lower part of the middle extension, complementing the alignment aiding line, which to me improves drastically your alignment as far as lining of putts is concerned.
Doc 17 Quality: Very good construction. When you see it, you might think it's pretty heavy because of its size. Only when you grab it you realize it's lighter than most, if not all, putters I've tried.
Review & Rating Summary: Great putter. When you use it you feell very confident of putting, although you have to get used to it because of its size and weight. After using this putter, I've never three-putted any holes in my club/course.

Game Description: Playing for two months now. i'm teeing off pretty straight and reduced all holes to two-putts. The pitching and chipping are my weaknesses right now.
