TaylorMade Review: Rossa Monza Putter

Manufacturer: TaylorMade Golf

Model: Rossa Monza
Category: Putters

Additional Details:

Purchase: Purchased this putter at my Club for $145. Have used cut down Never Compromise putters for several years. I am short and use a pure pendulum stroke with fairly straight arms, so 32"-33" is about right for me. The small aim line on the Never Compromise has always been a problem for me, particularly on short breaking putts. Tried the 2 ball putters, which were just a distraction. Saw this putter in the shop the day it arrived and realized it was made as a 33" putter, a perfect size fit for me and well-balanced; tried it for 15 minutes and bought it.

Pros: The long aim line is a big help when you want to be comfortable about playing just a little break and certainly helped my confidence. Yesterday made every putt I had inside 6 feet on very fast greens for a 76. Face has a nice soft feel and encourages you to let the putter follow the ball down the line.

Cons: Could have done without the bright red tubes, or at least the bright red, but they do frame the aim line; just a little bright in the hot sun.

Rossa Monza Quality: So far appears very high quality and durable.

Excellent putter if you are omfortable with a non-traditional look; about the best I have seen for shorter shaft lengths.

Other Reviews You May Find Interesting

TaylorMade Tour Preferred T-D - Irons - Underrated, by poor golfers. Blaming their poor technique on 'Shovel like' irons. These have stood the test of time. And are still beautifull playing irons.

TaylorMade r7 Quad - Drivers - In summary, I do not recommend this club, especially to players who seek a fade bias. The club face is closed. I believe that the theory of applying variable weighting must be combined with a square

TaylorMade Rescue Mid 19 #3 - Utility Clubs - There are better hybrids out there.

TaylorMade R 580 S-90 - Drivers - I highly recommend this club for average golfers like myself (14 handicap). It's very forgiving and gives one the confidence to really swing away. I'm probably hitting 2-3 more fairways in regulatio
