Titleist Review: Futura Putter

Purchase: $275 at local proshop. I`m a big Mickelson fan and was swayed by his switch to the Futura last year. Grabbed it off the rack as soon as it came in, rolled a couple of putts and put it in the bag. Poor impulse control.

Pros: The loft and lie were well-suited to my stance. The grip, color notwithstanding, is well-formed and comfortable.

Cons: I really wanted to like this putter. Unfortunately, its light weight made distance control problematic. Additionally, when soling the putter the club tends to open up, making alignment difficult.

Futura Quality: Well made despite its ungainly appearance. Putter cover is comprehensively homely and takes up a lot of room in a carry bag.
