Purchase: My scotty cameron putter was bought over the internet on Ebay. I acquired this putter because I had to find out for myself how good these creations really were. I paid $127.00 for a 2002 Laguna 2.5 scotty cameron putter.
Pros: I was not until my 3rd to 4th round when I really started to used the putter effectively. The balance and feel are what I like in this putter over anyother I have ever used. The length is perfect at 33". Also the screaming yellow royal crown grip is the best I have ever used. It is very comfortable in my hands which adds even more to the feel. From close to long range putts I have never felt as confident as I do now using the cameron. I have gone from using a Ram Zebra, Odyssey white hot #8, Ray cook blue goose, to the cameron and hands down this putter is head and shoulders above the rest.
Cons: The only complaint I have and it's not really a complaint is the durability of the royal crown grip. I won't change the grip for anything, but I've had it for a year and just from normal usage the wrap is peeling at the ends. Other then that as I mentioned before this putter is top-shelf.
Scotty Cameron Laguna 2.5 Quality: I am no golfsmith by any means but a product that gives as much positive feed back as this is definitely done by a master. From the club head to the grip there are no flaws. The lie angle fits my stroke to a 'T'. The mill marks are the same as they were when I first bought the putter. Since i have purchased the putter it has been my primary due to the quality and construction which gives it the longevity/durability and performance other brands are lacking.
Review & Rating Summary: Over all the scotty cameron Laguna 2.5 is obviously the best putter I have played. With the results I have recieved I will not hesitate in the future to obtain another pieces of cameron's collection.
