Pros: I purchased a 33"/350 gram Newport 2, after using a cut-down 32" Ping Pal 4 for close to 10 years. The Newport 2 has great balance to it, with definitely more head feel than a Ping. I love that they add 10 grams to every inch short of standard. I also like that you can order this putter in different lengths (33-35"), and lie angles. This putter has a tremendously soft feel when hit pure, with a more muted sound (not much "click"). Even distance balls can feel very soft with this putter. Great feedback as well - you know when you hit it well, and when you don't. However, I don't agree with the comments that this putter is unforgiving. I think slight toe and heel mishits still travel as intended. In my opinion, the slight mishits just don't feel as soft and pure (but go just as straight with close to the same distance). I would characterize Scotty's as having a great head/shaft balance, great feel/feedback, and they putt a consistent roll on the ball.

Cons: Price.

Scotty Cameron Studio Quality: This putter is pretty much Scotty's version of a heavier Ping Anser 2. The real difference is that this is milled from a billet of steel, with a perfectly flat face (4 degrees of loft). This is a high quality putter, in terms of construction and appearance.

Review & Rating Summary:
I think I've found a putter that I will keep in my bag for a very very long time. This putter hits it so pure with a very soft feel. Whether it's a 3 footer or 20 footer, I really feel confident standing over every putt. I don't typically sink 20 footers, but already I've done so with this.

Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Rating: 5
